German Made Eureka Clock
These clocks were produced in Germany between the wars
|

The balance as taken from the clock |

The balance wheel is dismantled and cleaned
The number 127 was stamped on the brass rim, other than that
there were no markings on this clock |
|

The balance wheel back in the frame for balancing |

The finished balance wheel correctly balanced
Now is the time to fit the balance spring and crank lever |
|

New contacts were fitted and the loose eccentric cam
was correctly lined up and held with Loctite, the
finished job appears opposite |
 |
|

This home made click spring was found to be to strong
for the clock and was acting like a brake!! |

A thinner spring was made --this led to a larger swing
of the balance |
