This clock is inscribed "Horloge de Precision, Execute par Cherbonnier" It is a large precision clock movement which consists of an open brass framework containing two main trains. The going train consists of three wheels with a gravity remontoire interposed between the second wheel and the `scape pinion. It has of course Deadbeat escapement with Maintaining power. The pendulum is compensated on Ellicott's principal. The striking train sounds the hours and quarters on three hammers that are struck on bells suspended above the movement. This clock has recently come into the workshop for a complete overhaul prier to it being offered for sale in one of the major Auction Houses in London.
