French novelty clock
This is an interesting an attractive clock with a novel feature of a lady seated on a swing acting as the pendulum which swings from back to front, as opposed from side to side. The special form of escapement needed to do this was patented in 1862 by Farcot of Paris, and this clock carries the trade mark of Farcot.
The clock is of 8 day duration and comes complete with glass dome
