An early 19th. Century Octagonal Wall Clock
The case to this clock is richly veneered in flamed mahogany. It has a fusee movement
of eight day duration regulated by an anchor escapement .Blue spade hands indicate
the time over a 11" convex dial with Roman numerals.
Solid cast brass bezel with convex glazing. This clock is in original condition.
The dial is signed CARMAN OF Harleston. Carman is reputed to have made the Town clock in Harleston.
