The BARR Electric Clock c1924
The Barr Electric Clock was originally invented by Arthur F Poole in the U.S.A.
These clocks were marketed under the Poole name from C1926. (PATENT FILED IN 1924)
There are three models. the first two are similar but the third had a Hipp toggle mechanism
although the rest of the operating system is similar.
Following a lapse in production the Barr Typewriter Co. of New York took over the patents and manufacturing rights in 1937 and manufactured them until 1946. This clock is rare in the U.K.

The clock runs on three 1.5volt batteries housed at the rear of the clock
